Jim Dougherty has over thirty five years experience in real estate, lending, real property appraisal, portfolio management and loss mitigation. He has been a Chief Lending Officer for a community bank in the New York Metro area and managed a defaulted loan portfolio for a national lender that had 5,000 loans in foreclosure and 1,000 bank owned properties. He routinely appears as an expert witness if Federal and State Courts on matters relating to real estate, commercial lending, foreclosure, property valuation, and loss mitigation.

In his real estate practice, Jim specializes in buyer representation, commercial property sales, and foreclosure matters. One of his favorite quotes relating to business comes from John Maxwell who said. "Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potential." To help a real estate client reach their goals, Jim believes a total commitment from a real estate professional must include knowledge, application, communication, and accessibility. Jim lives in Shady, a hamlet of Woodstock and is Chairman of the Woodstock Ethics Board and a Member of the Woodstock Volunteer Fire Department Company Three in Lake Hill.
